How to Raise a Complaint

Last updated: October 2026

We want every homeowner who reaches Dutystops Heating & Air to be treated fairly and honestly. If something went wrong, tell us. This page shows how to file a complaint and what comes next. It is a general template and is not legal advice.

What You Can Tell Us About

You are welcome to write to us about:

  • How your call or contact with Dutystops Heating & Air went
  • How your personal information was handled
  • Anything on this website that seems unclear or wrong
  • The conduct of a provider we connected you with

If Your Concern Is About a Provider

Providers in our network are independent businesses. Each one is responsible for its own estimates, prices, equipment, warranties, work and customer service. If there is a problem with work in your home, the usual first step is to raise it with the provider directly. Keep a written record as you go.

We still want to hear about it. Your feedback helps keep our network honest. Providers who often fall short of what we expect may be removed from the network. Please know that Dutystops Heating & Air cannot settle contract disputes, handle warranty claims, refund money for a provider's work or make decisions for a provider.

How to Send Your Complaint

Email contact@dutystops.living and include:

  • Your name and the way you prefer to be reached
  • The date you contacted us or the provider
  • The phone number you called or the form you used, if you remember
  • The provider's name, if you know it
  • A clear account of what happened and what you hope we can do

After You Write

We will confirm by email that we received your complaint. We will look into what happened, which may include reaching out to the provider. Then we will write back with what we found and any steps we are taking.

If You Are Still Not Happy

You can reply and ask us to take another look. You may also reach out to your state consumer protection office or attorney general, or to your local Better Business Bureau. For problems with an HVAC contractor, your state contractor or mechanical licensing board may be able to help too.
